Strategic Account Executive, CPG & PU, Mexico
Position Overview
The Strategic Account Executive will report directly to the CPG Sales Manager within the Chemical Division in North America, while also maintaining a dotted line to the PU Sales Manager. This role is crucial for the Milliken Consumer Packaged Goods and Polyurethane sectors, which are key areas of investment for the Performance Colorants and Ingredients business unit. The focus will be on managing key accounts in Mexico, creating substantial value by nurturing existing relationships and exploring new business avenues through innovative products and business models. The ideal candidate will excel in managing complex accounts and distributors, fostering strategic partnerships that promote sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Exhibit exceptional key account management skills with a strategic sales approach.
- Develop customer strategies, prioritize initiatives, and sustain action plans.
- Identify and translate customer needs into actionable opportunities.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams within a matrix organization to advance opportunities and address challenges.
- Utilize internal CRM and ERP systems for account management, including reporting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Lead customer meetings with structured agendas, presentations, and follow-up actions.
- Implement Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes for long-term strategy development.
- Negotiate pricing and manage quality-related issues effectively.
- Establish strong networks within key market segments.
- Handle inquiries and maintain contact with target customers and market segments.
- Manage relationships with large multinational accounts while pursuing new business development.
- Represent the organization at trade shows and contribute to the creation of market materials and sales tools.
Qualifications - Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and business development within the Home & Fabric Care or Polyurethane industries.
- Demonstrated success in key account management that has fostered long-term, mutually beneficial customer relationships aligned with business objectives.
- Exhibit an entrepreneurial mindset to navigate challenges and achieve goals, making informed decisions even with limited information.
- Possess strong communication skills, characterized by openness, clarity, and empathy to drive desired outcomes.
- Willingness to travel over 50% of the time.
- Fluency in both Spanish and English is essential.
