Job Summary

Celestica is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Commodity Management Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our procurement organization, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of strategic commodities, developing and implementing procurement strategies, and negotiating with suppliers to secure the best possible prices and terms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for assigned commodities, including competitive bidding, supplier analysis, and pricing strategy.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers, including contract negotiation, performance reviews, and business development.
  • Source products and services from suppliers, ensuring continuity of supply and lowest cost component or service solution.
  • Lead negotiation teams for high-impact commodities, providing guidance on negotiation strategy and planning.
  • Manage data flow for pricing fluctuations and analytical tools, including development and maintenance of commodity management systems applications.
  • Conduct strategic analysis on pricing, market trends, suppliers, customers, competitors, contracts, and long-term agreements.
  • Drive process improvement and lead development of IT tools for the group, defining business processes and implementing new tools and processes.

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the marketplace conditions for a broad range of strategic commodities, including industry pricing, technology, and supply/demand trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy, and working under tight time deadlines.

Working Conditions

  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements are frequently required.
  • Frequent overnight travel may be required.
