About This Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Business Development Representative to join our team at American Express. As a key member of our Commercial Card Business, you will be responsible for building and strengthening relationships with our clients to drive business growth and maximize spend penetration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact clients with overdue accounts to secure settlement and prevent future overdues
  • Develop and implement commercial card growth strategies to align with support groups and drive client entrenchment
  • Represent client interests on critical business decisions and develop a deep understanding of Amex products and processes
  • Build and motivate a relationship management team to drive business results
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to drive business growth and influence key stakeholders

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of Commercial Card Business and financial acumen
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of client organization
  • Ability to develop and implement structured methodologies for relationship management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence internal and external partners
  • Pipeline management experience and ability to quickly understand complexity and nuances of Amex products and processes
