Job Summary:
- Manage design services to scheduled deliverables for managed, franchised, and company-owned hotels.
- Supervise, direct, motivate, and train assigned staff to achieve project objectives.
- Manage design consultants, their proposals, contracts, and invoicing to meet project requirements.
- Develop and maintain proper organizational structure, staff selection, performance management, salary administration, career planning, and staff budget.
- Document, administer, and improve processes for delivering services.
- Select and develop building products relevant to the brand specifications.
- Coordinate Criteria/Facilities programs for assigned projects.
- Negotiate project details with external customers.
- Provide information, interpretation, and guidance daily to outside owners/franchisees and internal/design/construction staff.
- Manage project communication to owners, franchisees, internal project stakeholders, and disciplines.
- Participate in site visits/market surveys to understand site/market demands.
- Create and manage project budgets.
- Champion region-specific initiatives alone or with peers based on growth and region needs.
- Maintain liaison with all appropriate divisions and departments.
- Report project updates using tracking tools.
Requirements:
- Innovative thinking and knowledge of industry trends.
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships and provide customer service.
- Negotiation and flexibility skills.
- Excellent organizational, strategic thinking, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Project management expertise and proficiency in Microsoft Office, scheduling, and database management software.
- Knowledge of FF&E specifications and ability to read architectural/engineering/mechanical drawings.
Education and Experience:
- 4-year degree in Architecture or related design discipline preferred.
- Minimum 8 years progressive experience in architecture at a design firm for large commercial or hospitality projects.
- Interior Design license preferred.
- Minimum requirement of 10 years in the Hospitality sector.
- Bi-literate in Spanish is required, Portuguese speaking a plus.
We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $170,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
