Position Overview:
Global Education Ministries (GEM) is seeking dedicated educators who are enthusiastic about integrating their faith into the educational experience. Our schools are distinct in that we strive to infuse every aspect of education with the principles of the gospel.
The Manantial School offers a comprehensive English immersion program for local children from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. This K-12 institution combines U.S. educational standards with local needs to prepare students for various future paths.
Role Objective:
As a Missionary Middle School Bible Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a supportive and enriching learning environment. Your mission will be to nurture students academically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially, while also serving as a messenger of the gospel in daily interactions.
Reporting Structure:
You will report directly to the School Directors and GEM Directors.
Compensation:
This position is mission-oriented and requires fundraising efforts. The initial fundraising target is $18,000 annually, with a gross salary of $13,200 (USD) per year. Fundraising training will be provided prior to your relocation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Commit to a daily walk of faith
  • Integrate gospel teachings into your curriculum
  • Engage with students and families through the lens of the gospel
  • Design and deliver Bible classes utilizing best educational practices
  • Mentor students both in and out of the classroom
  • Support school leadership in achieving academic and spiritual objectives
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and the broader community
  • Contribute to recruitment, fundraising, policy development, and represent GEM as an ambassador
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A sincere and authentic faith in Jesus Christ
  • A degree in Secondary Education, English, or a related field
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • A friendly and adventurous spirit, eager to share the gospel
  • Flexibility in scheduling
  • A willingness to relocate for the duration of the contract
  • A commitment to fundraising for the ministry
