Job Summary

The Commodity Desk Specialist will assist the IDP Commodity buyers in preparing and analyzing negotiation strategies for deployment by the PSP Clerk in the system. This role will also support requesters in understanding the deployed strategy, manage contracts during the serial life, and communicate with suppliers to resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support IDP commodity in general purchasing commercial activities
  • Assist buyers in dealings with business group stakeholders (Operations, Finance, Group)
  • Support commodities in advanced analysis to efficiently deploy strategies (buying channel)
  • Prepare future negotiations and propose new opportunities for savings and negotiation

Contract Management

  • Manage serial contracts (payment terms, invoicing, and renewal of existing contracts)
  • Support buyers in strategic RFQ deployment and follow-up

Operational Support

  • Support requesters in deploying contracts aligned with commodity strategy
  • Communicate with suppliers to discuss and resolve operational topics (invoice conflicts, payment terms clarifications, credit note collection)

General

  • Participate in working groups for problem-solving and process improvements
  • Ensure 5S rules at the workstation
  • Comply with Group procedures and policies
  • Perform the function with discipline and accept responsibilities in accordance with Quality and Environment and Security policies
  • Respect and ensure the correct implementation of the Faurecia Code of Ethics and Code of Management

Requirements

  • Minimum education level: Bachelor's degree in Business or Purchasing
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Purchasing-related environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Agility using office tools (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good organizational skills
  • International-minded
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Minimum knowledge of contractual and legal aspects
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn
  • Availability to travel
