Technical Consulting Specialist

Cisco Systems is seeking a highly skilled Technical Consulting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our customer support team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical guidance and support to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Interact with and support customers remotely to resolve technical issues and provide expert guidance on network security and configuration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reproduce and resolve customer issues, and develop training materials to enhance customer knowledge.
- Participate in big events like Cisco Live to showcase technical expertise and share knowledge with the community.
- Write technical articles, tutorials, and how-to videos for the developer community to promote best practices and share knowledge.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Professional experience in network security, customer support, or a related field.
- Strong analysis fundamentals and troubleshooting skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to take ownership of customer success and drive customer satisfaction, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Hands-on experience with network security technologies, including VPN, firewall, and intrusion prevention systems.
- Ability to work with different cross-functional teams, with strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to work as a great teammate and work with minimal supervision, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- 3-5+ years of related experience involving high-level customer support in Security technologies.
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP stack, Routing/Switching, SSL/TLS, and common Application Layer protocols.
- Knowledge and troubleshooting experience of Site-to-Site, DMVPN, IPsec, FlexVPN, Remote Access VPN, and GETVPN.
- Knowledge and experience in at least one of the network security technologies, such as Cybersecurity, Firewall, or IPS.
- Working experience of VPN on different products, such as Cisco Router, Firewalls - ASA/NGFW.
- Experience with using Wireshark to analyze captures for troubleshooting.
- Proficient in English, written and spoken, with a strong understanding of technical documentation and communication.
- CCNP Security and/or CCIE (preferred), or other security certifications.
