We're seeking an experienced VP of Global Human Resources to join our mission of enabling financial agency for underbanked individuals globally. This transformative leadership opportunity requires a strategic and operational expert who can oversee global HR functions, including talent management, organizational development, employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, training, and staff development initiatives.Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with local business partners to develop HR policies, procedures, and systems that comply with local labor laws and regulations, ensuring consistency and fairness while accounting for local cultural nuances.
- Guide compensation philosophy and global compensation band work, providing guidance on equitable and competitive banding for each market.
- Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies aligned with Tala's business objectives, focusing on talent acquisition, performance management, and compensation and benefits, learning and development, and employee engagement.
- Partner with executive leadership as a strategic people partner on key topics like compensation philosophy, headcount placement, market migration, organizational structure, driving global role alignment and titling.
- Collaborate with the SVP of People and SLT to develop workforce plans supporting growth and expansion into emerging markets, driving conversations about location placement for roles and guiding organizational structure and design.
- Manage HR work for the US, overseeing ER issues, managing budgets, and building strong relationships with business leaders, anticipating their needs and guiding HR practices.
- Improve the employee lifecycle from recruitment to offboarding, ensuring a positive and seamless experience for employees across markets.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in an HR leadership role, preferably in the financial services or fintech industry, with a global focus.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and procedures, along with a solid understanding of employment laws and regulations across various countries.
