Logistics Business Development Manager

This role reports to the District Manager and involves generating leads, managing a list of 40 Named Accounts (Company has >$20 million USD annual revenue) and demonstrating success at closing new logo and new business with target and prospect accounts based on established new logo/new business revenue expectations.
Responsibilities:- Generate high-quality leads and develop strategic relationships with key decision-makers to drive business growth and expansion.
- Timely data entry in our Customer Relationship Management tool to ensure seamless communication and collaboration across the organization.
- Orchestrate customer/Expeditors network relationship and collaborate with regional Product, Service, Geo, and Knowledge Management resources to deliver customized solutions and exceptional service.
- Participate in the creation of value-added solutions for customer's logistics needs, including supporting diagrams and cost-benefit calculation to drive business results.
- Stay up-to-date on product and industry knowledge by obtaining required certifications and selling skills training to maintain expertise and drive success.
- Support the transition of new accounts through customer introductions, information transfer, and securing necessary customer paperwork to ensure smooth onboarding.
- When needed, support AR (accounts receivable) collection to ensure timely payment and minimize financial risk.
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the same industry, with a proven track record of driving business growth and expansion.
- Extroverted, confident, enthusiastic, and persuasive self-motivated individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
- Strong business acumen, including contract execution facilitation and negotiation, and the ability to influence others to action.
- Fluent in supply chain terms and concepts, including diagnosis, process mapping methodology, and decision-making cost drivers.
- High level of commitment to exceptional customer service and relationship building, with strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
- Sense of urgency for goal achievement, strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work productively both individually and in a team environment.
- Ability to successfully manage priorities and respond to deadlines ahead of schedule, with timeliness and accountability for results.
- Experienced with business operating systems and current industry technologies.
