We are seeking an experienced Operational Buyer to join our Vehicle Aftermarket team in Puebla, Mexico. As a key member of our purchasing team, you will be responsible for streamlining our purchasing processes across Latin America, with a focus on Mexico, Colombia, and the Andean countries.
Key Responsibilities- Provide market data and information to global category managers to support category management and supplier development.
- Scan the Latin American market for new and additional suppliers to enhance our supplier base and procurement capabilities.
- Open new suppliers and update/maintain supplier contracts, Bill of Materials changes, etc., in the Material Requirements Planning systems (XA and DOH).
- Support the Request for Quotation process by working together with Product Managers and Category Managers.
- Review purchase requisitions and identify sources of supply for spot buys.
- Manage Vehicle Aftermarket sourcing projects when delegated by the Global Category Manager.
- Support the Purchasing Business Plan, Forecasts, and Standard Cost Calculation.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management, Industrial Engineer, Business, or similar.
- Proven operational experience in purchasing within the Latin American market and strong understanding of purchasing strategies and supplier management.
- Quotation and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, experience from stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
- Fluent in both Spanish and English.
