Senior Informatics Sales Specialist

The Senior Informatics Sales Specialist will leverage their expertise in genomics and informatics to identify and close opportunities for Illumina's informatics products. This involves selling to customers and internal stakeholders on next-generation sequencing and genomic data analysis pipelines, applications, and products primarily for genetic and clinical research or testing.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and subject matter expertise during the sales cycle, focusing on areas such as NGS research data analysis, management, sharing, and storage, as well as cloud-based pipelines optimization and automation.
- Consult with customers on informatics requirements, including hardware and software needs for data analysis.
- Develop and deliver in-depth product demonstrations and proof-of-concept analysis or implementation to demonstrate product fit in the customer's specific setting.
- Partner with third-party providers to provide end-to-end solutions that drive Illumina's overall value in research and clinical labs.
- Work closely with the sales specialist team and other sales team members to make customers successful in bioinformatics and NGS data analysis.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Contribute to annual account manager strategic planning process.
