About the Role
As a Senior Data Center IT Support Technician at Microsoft, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional support for our data center infrastructure. You will be responsible for providing expert-level technical support for secure access workstations, laptops, servers, and conference room Audio/Visual equipment. Additionally, you will maintain inventory of spare devices, ensure the latest updates and operating systems are installed, and perform troubleshooting and repair tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for data center equipment and infrastructure
- Maintain inventory of spare devices and ensure timely ordering and receipt of new equipment
- Perform BIOS setting changes and manage SAW inventory
- Provide guidance to users on common SAW repair issues and escalate complex issues
- Perform Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) for damaged SAWs
- Support the deployment of on-site DC physical infrastructure, including servers, network devices, and storage systems
- Assist with inventory management and asset tracking
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Able to work 100% on site in Queretaro, Mexico
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical college degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, or equivalent work experience
- Applicable certifications: CompTIA, Microsoft, Network Certifications
- Experience operating heavy-load movement equipment (pallet jacks, chassis lifts, etc.)
- Perform and execute organization's safety programs and policies, and compliance knowledge
- Flexibility to work non-business hours (shifts) that may include weekends and/or holidays
- Valid license to drive standard street-legal automatic transmission vehicles within your DC's local jurisdiction
