Role Overview

As a Tour Leader for PURAVENTURA, you will be instrumental in guiding our clients through their exploration of beautiful Mexico, ensuring that their journey is a memorable experience. You will collaborate with a team of enthusiastic Tour Conductors and report directly to our Tour Guide Operations Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary host and guide for a small group of senior travelers (6-12 individuals) on a comprehensive 2-3 week tour across Mexico.
  • Provide leadership and ensure the well-being and safety of travelers, facilitating a seamless tour experience.
  • Adhere closely to the established travel itinerary, making adjustments only when necessary.
  • Maintain composure in stressful situations, following protocols and offering flexible solutions as needed.
  • Ensure that all services provided by our partners meet our quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
  • Monitor daily expenses, maintain receipts, and manage the budget effectively.
  • Foster a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, treating clients as friends and ensuring their experience is exceptional.
  • Share enjoyable moments with travelers from German or French-speaking countries.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in German (C2 level) and Spanish, with strong communication skills.
  • Possession of an Official Guide ID from Mexico.
  • Certification in First Aid (CPR and Heimlich maneuver).
  • In-depth knowledge of Mexico as a travel destination, with a passion for showcasing its beauty.
  • Interest in sustainable, local, and authentic travel experiences.
  • Demonstrated reliability, organization, and engagement.
  • Good health, high energy, and a positive attitude to manage the demands of long travel days.
  • Proficiency in using internet tools, email, and Google platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good command of the English language.
  • Previous experience as a Tour Conductor, particularly in Mexico.
