About the Role

Trelleborg Group is a world leader in engineered polymer solutions, and we're looking for a talented Sales Engineer to join our team. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our products and services to customers in the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sales Growth: Achieve sales targets by leveraging our capabilities and resources to meet and exceed customer needs and expectations.
  2. Profitability: Achieve profit targets by generating profitable territory sales growth.
  3. Project Focus: Generate and convert projects for key target customers, manage project cycle and velocity, and track, monitor, and work to improve project win rate.
  4. Achieve Sales Targets: Pursue sales leads, visit existing and new strategic customers, and focus on Total Customer Satisfaction and Generation of Projects for Sales Growth.
  5. Build Customer Relationships: Build customer relationships and strategic partnerships, assess customer needs, and recommend appropriate products and services.
  6. Market Feedback: Provide market feedback and intelligence for use by local management, marketing department, and segment/product/lead group personnel.
  7. Promote Products: Promote standard products and custom engineered products where needed, and be a total solution provider.
  8. Establish Market Sell Price: Establish the market sell price and profit margin utilizing market research, tools, and methods, along with the support of the Sales Manager and General Manager.
  9. Ensure Timely Flow of Quotations: Ensure timely flow of quotations to maximize our competitive edge and win orders.
  10. Complete Month End Report: Complete month end report and submit the first week of each month, including top 10 customer updates, top 10 prospect updates, project won/loss information, customer needs, expectations, demands, competitor activity, and changing market conditions.
  11. Establish Strategic Sales Visit and Customer Action Plans: Establish annual, quarterly, monthly, and/or weekly strategic sales visit and customer action plans, and prioritize and schedule own activities to meet sales and profit targets.
  12. Work with Marketing Department: Work with the Sales Manager, General Manager, and Marketing department to increase Trelleborg Brand Awareness and identify marketing needs and opportunities for the territory.
  13. Learn and Utilize Internal Processes: Learn and utilize internal processes, including CRM, JDE, GPS, Consense, Quality, and ISO.
  14. Develop Procedures: Develop and implement procedures to ensure that customer projects, quotations, and orders are processed efficiently, correctly, and in a timely manner.
  15. Ensure Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures, including the Quality Manual and Quality Procedures.
  16. Represent the Company: Represent the company in cross-functional teams, including Sales Projects, Sales Excellence, Quality, and other relevant teams.
Requirements
  1. Education: Minimum of 4-year college degree required, preferably in Business or Engineering.
  2. Experience: Minimum 3-year experience in sales or engineering-related field required.
  3. Technical Aptitude: Strong technical aptitude beneficial, with mechanical inclination and ability to read technical prints and drawings.
  4. Language: English and Spanish language proficiency required.
