POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Accounting to oversee and manage global Record to Report (RTR) functions, ensuring high-quality and timely execution of core accounting tasks. This role is pivotal in achieving key Controllership goals while aligning with the Mission & Vision of Carrier Corporation Finance.

This position presents an exceptional opportunity to assess, analyze, and manage intricate accounting operations, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and Corporate policies, with a strong emphasis on financial reporting and internal controls. The role will involve collaboration with essential internal and external stakeholders, including Segment Controllers, on complex accounting initiatives and processes related to RTR. The Senior Manager will supervise global RTR activities, ensuring that outcomes and reporting meet external corporate reporting standards. This position will also manage critical accounting functions, oversee global BPO teams, and be accountable for SOX compliance and reporting for global processes and projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and oversee global RTR operations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Manage and report on global control initiatives, including support for internal and external audit processes.
  • Lead and deliver on global RTR projects aimed at streamlining operations and implementing best practices for the RTR Center of Excellence.
  • Communicate and influence key internal and external business partners, including BPO collaborators.
  • Drive the transformation of accounting and control processes for Carrier's RTR Center of Excellence.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, monthly closings, and compliance activities for complex RTR functions.
  • Transform programs and processes to consolidate activities and standardize practices across various segments.
  • Analyze complex activities across segments, including review and analysis of global balance sheet accounts.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Language Proficiency:

  • Proficient in English to facilitate fluent and effective communication across global teams (both written and verbal).

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting roles (preferably in RTR).
  • OR Post-graduate Degree in a relevant field with at least 5 years of experience in accounting roles (preferably in RTR).
  • 2+ years of experience in management or leadership roles to guide project teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in global projects or implementations.
