Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Planning Specialist to join our team at Terex Corporation. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for developing and executing project plans for distributing system and inventory control projects in a complex, vertically integrated manufacturing environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead teams to develop and execute project plans for materials ordering, receiving, storage for new product, and production system
  • Review and establish new operating procedures, performance standards/metrics/methods
  • Conduct supply chain and/or inventory analysis
  • Redesign and/or reengineer logistics processes
  • Main job-specific requirements / skills:
    • Design and specify stores
    • Support product design process
    • Implement visual controls
    • Track project progress and report gaps & opportunities
    • Prepare new system for ERP implementation
    • Identify opportunities to positively affect Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale
    • Participate and lead kaizen events
    • Support and lead problem-solving and reporting efforts when materials issues arise
    • Develop and maintain materials and information flows (value stream maps)
    • Office tools package knowledge, advance Excel

Requirements:

  • Experience with a warehouse management system (WMS)
  • RFID or barcode technology experience preferred
  • Implementation experience a plus
  • Pull system implementation and management
  • Experience with Kaizen process
  • 2+ years leading small to medium sized projects
  • Cost justification/ROI
  • Experience with lean tools, including: A3 reporting, 5-whys, 5s
