About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Expansion and Business Development Director to join our team at Barbachano International, Inc. in Mexico. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing the long-term vision and strategy for Expansion and Business Development in Mexico.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities: You will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities to increase company revenue by expanding brand presence and creating profitable ventures.
  • Build Strong Relationships: You will build strong relationships with customers, vendors, distributors, and internal teams to drive business growth and success.
  • Operations Planning and Risk Assessment: You will recommend ways to improve operations planning within the organization and assess business risks by analyzing financial, statistical, and economic data.
  • Store Openings and Property Acquisition: You will lead all aspects of store openings and property acquisition, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Lease Management and Financial Analysis: You will review and negotiate lease agreements, manage the organization's real estate development portfolio, and analyze retail real estate proposals related to new stores, relocations, expansions, and renewals.

Key Challenges

  • Build a Winning Team: You will build a high-performing team to accelerate business growth in the next 3-5 years.
  • Identify and Open New Stores: You will identify, negotiate, and open 10 new stores per year, ensuring they deliver results based on targets.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience: You will have a minimum of a pertinent university undergraduate degree and at least 15 years' experience in Retail, having held senior manager/director roles in recognized innovative organizations.
  • Key Attributes: You will possess demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the design and execution of business plans and strategies, as well as sound strategic skills with an operational reflex.
