Make a Lasting Impact in Recoveries

AIG's Recoveries teams drive the maximization of recovery opportunities, reducing financial losses, and enhancing overall profitability. By joining our team, you'll contribute to the efficient recovery of funds and improve our claims management process.

Drive Business Results

As a Recovery Technician, your primary objective will be to identify and pursue all possible avenues for recovering funds from third parties involved in claims. This includes subrogation, salvage, and other recoveries such as non-cashes. By proactively pursuing recovery opportunities, you'll minimize financial losses associated with claims, directly impacting the bottom line and improving overall profitability.

Collaborate with claims adjusters and other stakeholders to streamline the claims management process, ensuring timely identification of recovery opportunities and efficient execution of recovery efforts.

Maximize recovery opportunities, resulting in increased revenue for AIG. This additional income will directly contribute to the financial stability and growth, reducing the financial burden associated with claims and improving loss ratios.

Key Responsibilities

1. Effective resolution of complex claims and recoveries handled by the team

2. Accurate and consistent reserving and financial control of claims

3. Mitigation of indemnity and expense spend in claims while ensuring claims are accurately assessed within policy limits under proactive management of claims

4. Effective communication to all relevant stakeholders

Leadership Skills

1. Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment

2. Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing

3. Requires proficiency in Desk Management, phone etiquette, time management, and dealing with difficult customers

4. Experience in successfully leading a recovery or claims team

5. Ability to develop and implement procedures to maximize business results of a work unit

6. Ability to effectively build business partnerships and communicate effectively with all levels within the organization

7. Strong analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills

8. Highly effective communicator (written, verbal, presentation)

9. Demonstrated abilities in time management and establishing priorities

10. Strong stakeholder management experience, both internal (underwriting, distribution, actuarial, finance, and executive management) and external (brokers, major account clients)

11. Coaching and staff management skills

Technical Skills and Expertise

1. Insurance Claims experience, preferably with Recovery claims

2. Experience with claims litigation, salvage, and subrogation is required

3. Advance Microsoft Office – proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint

4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish

6. Follow-up culture

7. Windows skills, especially Excel experience

8. Basic Commercial Lines Recovery knowledge

9. Desirable knowledge about OCRA HANDLING

10. Ability to analyze and pay vendor invoices
