About the Role
Biomarin is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Market Access and Strategy to lead our market access efforts in the country. This is a critical role that will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government officials, healthcare providers, and payers.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a strategic market access plan for all Biomarin products
- Design, prepare, and support tender submissions to gain positive outcomes from government authorities and institutional buying groups
- Identify, map, and manage key decision-makers and their organizational relationships in key stakeholder groups
- Lead the preparation of dossiers and submissions to government authorities
- Build and maintain relationships with government officials, healthcare providers, and payers
- Support commercial budget controls and provide business insights to inform commercial decisions
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in market access for rare diseases or expensive products
- Strong experience in public relations, public affairs, and government relationships
- In-house experience at a pharmaceutical or biotechnology organization preferred
- Excellent written, oral, communication, and presentation skills
- English language proficiency for basic communication with internal colleagues
- Proven ability to work with all levels of management and commercial sales
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Knowledge and experience preparing and submitting dossiers and state formularies
- Ability to review and analyze business and medical data
- Ability to work competently in software programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
