About the Role
The Associate Manager Brokerage Operations will play a key role in ensuring the success of Uber Freight's brokerage operations. This individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers, ensuring that customer service representatives and team leaders meet their goals and day-to-day operations needs, and sourcing and coordinating capacity assignments to meet customer requirements and needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
- Work closely with customer service representatives and team leaders to ensure they have the necessary resources and support to meet their goals and day-to-day operations needs.
- Source and coordinate capacity assignments with the procurement/capacity team to meet customer requirements and needs.
- Monitor team performance and provide feedback and coaching to ensure they are meeting their goals and objectives.
- Secure and request automation of rates in the transportation management system (TMS).
- Ensure carrier performance meets customer expectations and capacity internal performance metrics.
- Make strategic transportation and volume commitment decisions with the capacity and sales team to positively impact Transplace profitability and/or customer costs.
- Communicate service issues to customers or Uber Freight management.
- Demonstrate ownership of assigned segments of business and take responsibility for driving results.
- Analyze customer and carrier data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist with onboarding processes and ensure a smooth transition for new customers.
- Oversee a team assigned to the position and monitor service across different zones/accounts.
- Track volume and revenues on a weekly basis (scorecards).
- Oversee and correct service issues with customers.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in logistics.
- At least 1 year of experience managing personnel.
- Microsoft Excel skills, including but not limited to VLookup, Pivot Tables, and advanced formulas.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Advanced Spanish and English written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Logistics expertise, including understanding import and export operation basics, function of the Elogs, and fuel.
- Reporting and analytics skills, including ability to run BI reports, validate information, understand report, and offer feedback and deliver insights to manager and/or customer contacts.
