About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to join our team at Smurfit Kappa North America. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and driving revenue growth in the folding carton solutions and high graphics corrugated boxes market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business strategies to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base
  • Collaborate with the sales manager to establish market direction and develop sales strategies
  • Apply technical knowledge to introduce new products and services to customers
  • Work closely with customers to identify and resolve problems and complaints
  • Ensure compliance with all ISO 9000, ISO 14000, and ISO 22000 procedures and maintain a high level of quality control
  • Conduct market analysis and surveys to identify new business opportunities
  • Contribute to the development of new products and packaging solutions
  • Coordinate with the design and production department to meet customer requirements
  • Provide recommendations to customers on packaging cost reduction efforts
  • Monitor and report on competitor activity in the territory
  • Conduct specialty packaging solution studies to inform management planning
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales or customer service
  • Knowledge of high graphics and packaging solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel constantly
