A Competitive Salary

We offer a competitive salary range of €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience, reflecting our commitment to attracting and retaining top talent.

About the Role

The Circle Lead for Private Individuals KYC Operations will be responsible for guiding and steering local staff executing standardized global KYC activities in Client Due Diligence, Monitoring, and KYC case management. This role ensures new global and local standards are properly communicated, embedded, and executed by KYC operations staff.

The successful candidate will collaborate with Country KYC Operations Lead, Country Delivery, and CoE to discuss key concerns and issues. As a representative of KYC 1st LoD, they will interact with internal stakeholders on operational excellence discussions.

Daily Responsibilities
  1. Translate planning and implementation deliverables from Business Line KYC into local planning and handshakes.
  2. Be responsible for local staff executing processes for KYC, Client Due Diligence (onboarding as well as periodic review), and Quality Assurance.
  3. Ensure all local staff develop and stay attuned with their craftsmanship KYC specialist.
  4. Act as a key sparring partner for the Country KYC Operations Lead on both content and process/continuous improvement.
  5. Collaborate actively with Business lines and KYC counterparts on Country KYC activities, providing on-the-ground experience to ensure effective, efficient, and compliant execution of KYC activities.
  6. Highlight opportunities and analyze problems detected; follow up on these matters with relevant team members and ensure timely implementation of solutions.
  7. Suggest and implement improvements for internal business processes.
  8. Represent the One Agile Way of Working within ING.
  9. Develop and maintain a network within the ING organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Professional knowledge and solution-oriented skills.
  • An academic degree.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry, preferably within Retail Banking.
  • A thorough understanding of current market and regulatory conditions and challenges in the financial industry.
  • A proven track record of leading operations teams to deliver.
  • A belief in the agile way of working, self-steering teams, and empowering colleagues.
  • The ability to motivate teams and manage highly skilled individuals.
  • Fluency in English speaking and writing.
  • Experience in complex organizations and a bird's eye view of business processes and associated risks.
  • Proven communication, convincing, and advisory skills with the ability to work at all levels in the organization.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • A strong customer orientation.
  • The willingness and ability to travel.
