About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to join our team at Syncreon. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison to business customers and provide recommendations for improved system processes.
  • Develop deliverables related to project initiation, including feasibility studies, risk assessment, project initiation reports, staffing, project organization outline, and standards and control procedures.
  • Develop good working relationships with the local customer plant and project leader, ensuring excellent two-way communication.
  • Monitor project progress, deliverables, quality assurance, and customer service.
  • Adjust resources as necessary to ensure project success and completion.
  • Provide work direction and feedback to all team members and assist them in issue resolution.
  • Develop new processes as necessary to ensure mission-critical systems are completed.
  • Prepare and deliver formal presentations to colleagues and management.
  • Share best practices for account management, staff development, and technical expertise.
  • Develop, maintain, and follow a detailed Launch Plan based on the Syncreon Launch Process Template, focusing on daily follow-up with customers, milestones, ramp-up plans, scope of work, and daily follow-up with internal project team members.
  • Ensure that any external suppliers of equipment or services are sourced appropriately.
  • Maintain, update, and distribute weekly or bi-weekly Flash Reports for Steering Committee review, presenting an honest reflection of the project's status.
  • Review, communicate, and escalate critical project issues with the VP Project Management and Steering Committee in a timely manner.
  • Schedule and facilitate project meetings as required to ensure that all aspects of the project are dealt with professionally and efficiently.
  • Develop Project Evidence Binders, in line with clearly documented Syncreon expectations and QS Standards, managed throughout the project on the Portal Server.
  • Manage the Project Budgets (Resources & CAPEX), ensuring that any risk to this objective is escalated to the VP Project Management/Steering Committee for alternative plans to bring the budgets back on track or request further justified approvals.
