DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Business Development & Community Outreach Department strengthens the organization's growth by building strategic relationships and engaging directly with local Hispanic and immigrant communities. The team increases the firm's visibility through event participation, workshops, and partnerships with community organizations and consulates.

It also supports internal initiatives by coordinating promotional materials, managing vendor relationships, tracking outreach data, and monitoring key performance indicators. By maintaining consistent communication with referral partners and supporting multiple departments—including DDD, Sendero de Esperanza, and affiliated law firms—the department ensures effective outreach, informed decision-making, and meaningful connections between the organization and the communities it serves.

Business Development & Community Outreach Assistant

The Business Development & Community Outreach Assistant supports the BD and Marketing teams by coordinating community engagement, managing promotional materials, and assisting with logistics for events. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, bilingual in Spanish/English, and comfortable working with immigrant and diverse communities.

Responsibilities

  • Research local community events and outreach opportunities
  • Assist with event setup, representation, and workshop coordination
  • Coordinate vendors and manage promotional materials inventory
  • Track outreach data and maintain communication with community partners and consulates
  • Support reporting, internal documentation, and cross-departmental communication

Requirements & Skills

  • Experience in outreach or administrative roles preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Bilingual: Spanish/English
  • Ability to travel as needed, including weekends
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Comfortable with fast-paced environments and community-facing work
