Operations Manager & Business Analyst. (Tech Engineering, Product and People Ops)

We are on the lookout for a dynamic and extroverted Operations Manager with substantial experience as a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to become the operational backbone of our organization. This hands-on, data-oriented leader will be tasked with streamlining daily operations, uncovering actionable insights, and facilitating strategic decision-making across various teams. If you are enthusiastic about transforming data into actionable insights, optimizing processes, minimizing churn, and promoting company-wide alignment, this hybrid role is perfect for you.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be managing the tech product and sales operations team

You must be available for meetings from 8 AM to 2 PM Eastern Time to support cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations of founder-led tech organization to ensure smooth execution and cross-team efficiency.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to boost productivity and accountability.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and resources across various projects.
  • Identify operational risks and devise solutions to ensure compliance and continuity.
  • Act as a liaison between departments to optimize workflows and execution.
  • Introduce and implement new frameworks and systems as necessary for scalability.

Business Intelligence & Client Retention

  • Analyze operational and customer data to identify trends, friction points, and churn risks.
  • Create dashboards and reports that convert complex data into clear insights for stakeholders.
  • Design data models and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure operational and client retention performance.
  • Utilize BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL) for in-depth analysis and visualization.
  • Collaborate with data teams to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and strategic alignment.

Strategic Planning & Leadership

  • Lead strategic initiatives that align with business goals and enhance customer experience.
  • Use data to shape operational strategy, pinpoint growth opportunities, and mitigate churn.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive benchmarks to foster innovation.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and accountable culture that promotes ownership and improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Proficiency

  • Strong command of BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets (including pivot tables, macros, and data modeling).
  • Experience with ClickUp for building complex workflows, dashboards, and databases.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, workflow automation tools, and process optimization frameworks (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).

Operational & Analytical Strength

  • Proven experience leading fast-paced, globally distributed teams.
  • A strong ability to enhance operational performance and reduce churn.
  • Skilled in identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable process improvements.
  • Proficient in defining, managing, and acting on KPIs and operational benchmarks.
  • A strategic thinker with a focus on execution and long-term value creation.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Confident communicator who can translate data into business insights for all levels of stakeholders.
  • Comfortable leading high-visibility initiatives and presenting to leadership.
  • A true people person who thrives on team energy and fosters strong cross-functional partnerships.

Qualifications

  • An MBA is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in operations management, business intelligence, or a related function.
  • Certifications in BI tools or operational frameworks (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Six Sigma, PMP) are highly desirable.
  • Must be available for meetings between 8 AM and 2 PM EST.
