The Role You'll Play
You'll lead the charge in bringing Playlist's in-person and virtual events to life—designing memorable experiences that inspire connection, foster culture, and support our people-first mission. From regional off-sites to global gatherings, you'll own the full event lifecycle, ensuring every detail counts and every moment matters. With a strong operational mindset and creative edge, you'll help shape how our teams come together, collaborate, and thrive.
- Establish the strategic direction for the events process, ranging from intake and discovery through execution and end-to-end event management
- Lead strategy, planning, production, and execution of both in-person and virtual events, from kickoff to post-event wrap
- Build and manage detailed event work plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure high-quality experiences delivered on time and within budget
- Partner with executives and cross-functional stakeholders to align event goals with company objectives and team strategies
- Own vendor relationships and contracts, negotiating terms and managing deliverables with precision
- Develop and maintain a playbook of best practices and resources to empower teams with scalable, repeatable event support
- Set and track event KPIs to measure impact, optimize performance, and fuel continuous improvement
- Coordinate on-site logistics and troubleshoot in real time to keep every experience smooth and on-brand
- Collaborate with design and marketing teams to develop event materials and ensure every touchpoint reflects our brand
Experience You Bring
- 8-10 years leading events and expertise managing a high volume of events in parallel
- Deep experience leading event planning and logistics across formats (virtual, hybrid, and in-person) for ~ attendees
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering on time and within budget
- Experience owning strategy and iterating on best practices using data and feedback
- Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills
- Experience managing cross-functional relationships with confidence and clarity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including event promotions and post-event reporting
- Proven track record of setting and hitting or exceeding measurable KPIs and a data-first approach to continuous event optimization
- Willingness and ability to travel, including internationally
