Accounts Receivable Supervisor

**WHAT TO EXPECT**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Provides guidance to AR Collector's with day-to-day activities.
- First point of contact for resolution prior to approaching AR Manager within approved guidelines
- Fulfills customer requests for copies of financial transactions and statements on assigned accounts.
- Mediates between customer and internal Gates' departments such as Customer Service, Marketing, Distribution and others as required.
- Reviews and monitors delinquent accounts as assigned.
- Provides various monthly reporting of collections activity of assigned accounts as determined by management.
- Maintains customer fact sheets to include but not limited to customer contact information, payment terms, customer credit limit, customer order hold limit, and other support as necessary for ongoing collection efforts and account maintenance.
- Performs account transaction write-off within approved guidelines by designated role grade.
- Manages various levels of account complexity to include domestic and international trade receivable accounts (non-GIA or intercompany) whose originating shipment is from the US and Canada.

**ABOUT YOU**
- High School diploma required or an associate's degree preferred
- ** 5** to **7** years in specific **experience **in related collector and accounting roles with progressive responsibility.
- ** Fluent in English** spoken and written.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles with progressive knowledge based increasing level of account complexity.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with increasing functionality based on account complexity.
- Experience with Microsoft Access with increasing functionality based on account complexity.
- Strong team player, proactively able to support other team members as needed, share account information, and experience with other team members, and build collaborative relationships with internal departments and external customers.
- Knowledge / experience with Oracle ERP or similar ERP systems is preferred.
- Knowledge / experience with SQL is preferred with increasing functional knowledge based on account complexity.
- Experience with SOX controls and is committed to adhering to the required guidelines.
- Self-motivator who is punctual, honest, conscientious, and responsible.
