The main responsibilities are
- Market Expansion: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to penetrate and expand the plastic resin recycling market in Mexico and the United States. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging market insights and establishing a strong presence in key regions.
- Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing customers while actively seeking new partnerships and market applications (not just packaging but pipes, appliances, and other uses of recycling resin). Collaborate with customers to understand their recycling needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Cross-Border Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth operations and collaboration between offices in Mexico and the United States. Ensure effective communication and coordination of sales activities across both markets.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory requirements related to plastic resin recycling in Mexico and the US. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure local regulations and standards adherence.
- Sales Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a sales team operating in both markets. Provide guidance, support, and training to enhance the team's performance and achieve sales objectives.
- Market monitoring on recycling market trends, consumer & customer insights: stay closely informed on the market evolution, competition landscape changes and provide regular analysis
- Reporting: regular reporting and information exchange with regional and global teams.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Proven track record of successful business development and sales management in the plastic resin recycling industry, with experience in both Mexican and US markets.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of plastic resin recycling processes and understanding of local regulations in both regions.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
