Production Manager

Summary:Management-level position across a 3-shift organization. Develops processes and controls to ensure continuous improvement in the areas of safety, workplace organization, internal and external quality, on time delivery, productivity, and inventory. Works with peers across the entire operations team and sales/engineering organization. Develop and mentor supervisors, team leaders, and operators in the. Regal Rexnord Business System (RBS) culture, concepts and tools.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Responsible for the implementation of safety improvements identified via the Regal Rexnord Safety Management System.- Responsible for developing, auditing, and coaching Supervisors and Team Leaders on good safety practices, ergonomics, quality practices, standard work creation and execution, structured problem solving, waste elimination, and visual daily management.- Interface with customer service and/or customers relating to delivery/quality issues as required- Responsible for auditing and coaching Supervisors and Team Leaders on leader standard work creation and execution.- Assists leadership in the development, implementation, and compliance to company policies.- Coordinate activities of supervisors, team leaders, maintenance and production personnel.- Actively support the implementation of RBS (lean) manufacturing processes- Develop, implement, and maintain improvement initiatives within the production and office environments.- Contribute to the monthly business planning & annual budget process.- Support compliance with the quality management system and any applicable standards (e.g. ISO9001:2015).- Provide leadership and support to accounting, administration, sales/engineering, and management relating to business performance.- As required, coordinate and actively support corporate management/ Regal Rexnord business unit initiatives.Critical Competencies:- ERP experience required, SAP experience preferred- Think team first: the ability to work collaboratively with others towards mutual objectives- Ability to influence others outside of your direct reporting structure- Sense of urgency: have a bias for action- Internal & External Customer focus: a drive to discover and meet the expectations of customers- Continuous Improvement: ability to develop creative solutions to problems and continuously improve people, systems, and processes- Results-Oriented: takes ownership and has a drive to achieve goals in the short and long term- Adapts to Change: the ability to adapt, work effectively in an environment of change, uncertainty, and ambiguity- Technical Excellence: have the job-related expertise and motivation to use and expand one’s technical knowledge- Commitment to Future Vision: the commitment to be a part of the integrated organization; the desire to support the needs, priorities, and goals of the organization- Entrepreneurial Spirit: a passion for excellence and a fundamental belief in one’s own ability to successfully take on new and difficult challenges, question the status quo and take risks- Visionary Leadership: ability to see the big picture and communicate it to motivate and enlist the support of the entire organization- Develop Organizational Leaders: a genuine commitment to foster long-term growth and development by continually creating challenges that allow them to address weaknesses and build on their strengths.- Data-Driven: uses facts to assist with making decisions; when necessary, willing to make decisions with incomplete data- Strong computer skills for communication and analysis- Continually strives to build knowledge and skills specific to the products and processes- Solid business acumen- Experience working directly with customersEducation and Experience Requirements:- BS degree in engineering, sciences, business- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, TPS, 6 Sigma, or similar improvement methods, required- 3+ years supervisory experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, required- Advance EnglishAbout Regal Rexnord- The Company’s end markets benefit from meaningful secular demand tailwinds, and include factory automation, food & beverage, aerospace, medical, data center, warehouse, alternative energy, residential and commercial buildings, general industrial, construction, metals and mining, and agriculture.
