North America Pricing Advisor

This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

Defines, develops, evaluates and oversees the implementation of pricing models and strategies designed to optimize revenue, market share, brand positioning and long-term profits. Partners with Sales/Marketing, Business Development, Finance and other key stakeholders to correctly position product portfolio and establish pricing programs aligned with product/sales strategy and revenue recognition requirements. Prioritizes and delivers on opportunities to monetize products offered initially at little to no cost, or to implement upsell opportunities as products are repositioned in the marketplace. Monitors the ongoing business environment to ensure competitive pricing/market position and directs the development and analysis of pricing models and projections. Oversees the implementation of pricing proposals across the organization.

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads project teams responsible for providing sales processing and process improvement across multiple areas, accounts or processes
  • Consults with senior business leaders to identify relevant analytics, metrics and outcomes for the assigned areas
  • recommends changes and updates to process architecture, framework and resource deployment, including forecasts and budgets, to meet performance expectations and client needs
  • Ensures all sales processing activities for assigned area are performed in alignment with service expectations and business objectives
  • Manages and expands relationships with clients and internal and external partners and clients to effectively provide feedback, negotiate outcomes and drive changes to sales processes, policies and tools to improve performance and increase customer satisfaction
  • Provides domain-specific expertise and overall sales processing leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members

Education and Experience Required:

  • University degree or equivalent experience; may have advanced university degree. Finance or Business preferred.
  • Professional with 6 - 10 years of experience in a business related function, preferably finance, accounting, or compensation.
  • Advanced English level
  • Expert in Excel: Data analysis using advanced Excel functions
  • Have an understanding, at a detail level, of sales.
  • Have an understanding of and experience in applying business and sales processing tools, systems and practices to various situations.
  • Are able to reviewing and interpreting client agreements and resolving ambiguity or issues.
  • Have excellent listening skills.
  • Are able to effectively communicate sales processing plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels.
  • Have understanding of financial and accounting concepts.
  • Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn. Must be a self-starter able to work independently based on direction from manager.
  • Are able to develop account and industry/market knowledge.
  • Are able to work as both a member and leader of a team.
  • Have a solid understanding of internal business processes and policies.
  • Have strong analytical & problem solving skills, combined with ability to constructively manage situations where conflicts occur.
