Your function

Credit Decision Making : Analyze and make local credit decisions, including both own delegation of authority and individual results of the Credit team members. Policy Development : Contribute to the formulation of country strategy, objectives, and business plan. Develop and implement credit and risk policies, processes, systems, methods, procedures, mandates, and tools for the department. Monitoring : Monitor, manage, and optimize the country credit/risk profile portfolio and internal and external policies and regulations. Credit/Risk Management and Credit Committee : Ensure and execute adequate and timely management of the application process of complex and high-risk accounts. Support and organize preparation of the local credit committee. Act as backup for the Country Risk Manager in the Local Credit Committee. Reporting (optional) : Ensure all credit and risk periodical and ad hoc reporting and analysis is completed accurately and timely. Discuss reports and findings with relevant stakeholders and provide advice as needed. Credit Knowledge Centre : Position the credit department as a knowledge and business support center. Provide information, support, and training, aligning back- and front-office parties on credit and risk management policies, processes, and issues. Relationship Management : Manage and represent the back-office with all business relations and stakeholders regarding credit and risk portfolio management. Continuously monitor and improve customer satisfaction. Management and Organization : Plan, structure, organize, manage, and control the assigned department, processes, staff, and business partners, in line with corporate policies and company values.

Your profile

Technical knowledge:

Analysis of financial statements of small, medium, and large companies; Preparation of financial projections; Ability to synthesize information for credit decisions; Decision-making under pressure; Knowledge of banking regulations both local and global (USA and Europe); Advanced English proficiency as presentations are made to Regional and Global Credit Committees; Experience in credit approval for companies and knowledge of collection and recovery.

Skills and competences:

Leadership of multidisciplinary teams; Communication and ability to connect with the credit team and the Commercial and Operations areas; Negotiation skills for proposals received from the Commercial side; Risk balance in credit decisions (neither approves everything presented nor rejects everything presented); Coaching their team; Organization and discipline are key due to the volume of cases received for approval and their follow-up; Critical thinking.
