Your Role and ResponsibilitiesDatabase Administration:
Install, configure, and maintain either Oracle and/or PostgreSQL, and MS-SQL databases.
Perform database backups, restores, and recoveries.
Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization techniques.
Ensure database security, integrity, and availability.
Implement and maintain database replication, clustering, and high-availability solutions.
Analyze database performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Implement indexing, caching, and other optimization techniques.
Optimize database configuration, memory allocation, and resource utilization.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations.
Communicate database design, implementation, and performance metrics to stakeholders.
Provide training and support to junior team members.
Participate in database design reviews and ensure compliance with industry best practices.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
Hands-on experience as a DBA, with expertise in Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MS-SQL. (The candidate has to possess either two of the three skills)
Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and performance tuning.
Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and other database programming languages.
Experience with database replicating and high-availability solutions.
Ability to perform a DBA role independently with minimal supervision.
