About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Support Specialist to join our team at Sequoia Connect. As a Java Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement Bug Fixes and Coding Solutions
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance, analyze, and resolve application issues
  • Identify defects/discrepancies to determine the root cause by debugging or analyzing logs
  • Improve application stability by observing patterns, recurring alerts, or issues for permanent fixes or automation
  • Identify alerts/processes that can be automated and work with the engineering team to automate them
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication skills (English)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • At least 3+ years of experience in Core Java, J2EE
  • At least 3+ years of experience in RDBMS (Oracle/Sybase/DB2/SQL Server/PostgreSQL)
  • At least 3+ years of experience in application support, production support/L3 support, maintenance, and analysis
  • At least 3+ years of experience in software development life cycle and ability to read and understand application logs
  • At least 3+ years of experience in project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects. Experience in Financial Services domain
  • Good exposure to Unix commands and Shell scripting skills
Desired Qualifications
  • Good experience with version control systems such as GIT, CI/CD Pipeline, Splunk etc.
Languages
  • Advanced Oral English
  • Native Spanish
