Job Summary

Bounteous x Accolite is seeking a skilled Java L2 Support Specialist to join our team. As a Java L2 Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support for Java applications, working closely with Level 1 and Level 3 resources to resolve customer-reported issues. You will also be responsible for monitoring system components, identifying potential issues, and suggesting additional monitoring tools and processes to ensure the smooth functioning of the system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of customer-reported issues and work to resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Level 1 and Level 3 resources to gather information and resolve issues.
  • Monitor system components and identify potential issues.
  • Suggest additional monitoring tools and processes to improve system performance.
  • Document and prepare runbooks to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 1-3+ years of experience in software development and production management.
  • Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and Java programming language.
  • Experience with SQL and ability to write SQL queries.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work in a development or production environment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to articulate technical and functional aspects of a development/production problem.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, JavaScript, Python, or similar.
  • Experience in the Financial Service Industry.
  • Experience in Cluster Computing and Big Data solutions: Spark, Hadoop, HDSF, XRS using public cloud.
  • Experience working with Kafka/MongoDB/Micro services based architecture.
