At Malvern Panalytical Ltd, we are seeking an experienced Sales and Business Development Professional to join our team. This role offers a competitive salary of £60,000 per annum, reflecting the importance of this position in driving sales growth in the Mexico region.
About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned sales professional with a strong track record of success in selling analytical equipment and services into the Advanced Materials sector. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with existing customers, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering results-driven solutions that meet their needs.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain routine contact with existing customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions
- Analyze customer and competition situations to develop strategic plans that drive sales growth
- Prepare quotations, secure purchase orders, and maintain accurate documentation
- Update management on competitive activity and submit regular reports on sales performance
- Closely collaborate with product specialists and engineers to promote a technical sales approach
- Plan daily and long-term itineraries to achieve objectives
- Report on weekly activities and submit expense reports
- Maintain up-to-date records in our CRM system
- Supply customers and colleagues with relevant product information, including specifications, pricing, and delivery details
- Attend seminars, exhibitions, and meetings as required, and participate in marketing and promotion plans
- Pursue ongoing training and professional development to maintain high levels of product knowledge
Requirements
- 5 years' experience in sales, preferably in the analytical equipment and services industry
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science
- Fluent Spanish and English language skills, with excellent communication abilities
- Valid driver's license
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience working in Mexico or other Latin American countries
- Ability to travel within Mexico and occasionally in other countries
