Job Description: Channel Business Developer

The Channel Business Developer is responsible for achieving sales and profitability objectives through indirect sales channels. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with sales channels, representing the entire range of products and services offered by Alfa Laval.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Develop Sales Business Plans: Create and implement sales business plans aligned with the company's strategy.
  • Forecasting and Monitoring: Forecast sales, monitor progress against objectives, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Organization and Planning: Work proactively and in a structured manner with distributors and channels to optimize sales efficiency.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain healthy relationships with partners, enhancing their loyalty and commitment.
  • Strategic Partner Onboarding: Identify and onboard new channel partners.
  • Collaborative Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with partners, considering ESG criteria.
  • Sales Growth: Identify key factors for sales growth at each channel, motivating partners to prioritize Alfa Laval products.
  • Data-Driven: Assist partners in creating strategies for segmentation, marketing insights, buying behavior, lead management, and consultative sales.
  • Compliance and Follow-Up: Ensure compliance with Alfa Laval's business principles through diligent follow-up.
  • Coaching and Development: Develop relevant sales and product/application competencies in partners, fostering internal synergies with other areas.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, chemical, or mechatronics.
  • Manufacturing experience in the metalwork industry.
  • 3 years of experience as a business developer in channels.
  • English/Spanish skills at C1 or proficiency level with both written and verbal communication skills.
