Sales Manager - Drive Customer Interactions and Secure H2 Project Orders

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our team at Siemens Gas and Power GmbH & Co. KG. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving and leading customer interactions throughout the development of potential sales opportunities, from early stages to order placement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust sales strategies aimed at securing H2 project orders
  • Lead a dedicated opportunity team to ensure our company's goals are aligned with our customer's needs
  • Coordinate team efforts, articulate plans and strategies, and present to upper management
  • Negotiate contracts to achieve successful outcomes
  • Develop, prioritize, and lead project opportunities to secure orders
  • Handle regional partnerships with business development teams and regional H2, Power to X, oil and gas, and industrial customers
  • Consult with business development teams to assess lead viability and allocate resources
  • Develop competence throughout different Siemens Energy sales organizations about the SES portfolio
  • Drive key discussions and form relationships with senior customer representatives
  • Understand project decision drivers, identify risks and opportunities, competitive landscape, and timelines
  • Guide customers in technical project specification and consult on technology selection
  • Own the core team assigned to the opportunity and prepare bid documents, feasibility, pre-feed, and feed studies
  • Develop and communicate project-winning strategy and prepare findings for bid decisions meetings
  • Set up and lead cross-functional and cross-organizational bid/bring together teams during bid preparation and contract negotiation
  • Drive and lead contract negotiations and post-tender clarifications for the sale of hydrogen electrolyzers
  • Submit comprehensive and high-quality technical and commercial proposals to customers
  • Lead the transfer of contracts to project management teams for successful execution

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in sales management and leadership
  • Strong understanding of the H2 and Power to X markets
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
