About the Opportunity

As an Avaya Technical Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing onsite support for Avaya systems in production, including subsystems, software, and hardware applications. You will work with customers and field personnel to troubleshoot and resolve issues using remote and telephone diagnostic capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide remote support for Avaya Aura Communication Manager, Avaya Session Manager, Avaya System Manager, Media Servers, IP Office, and IP networking.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot SIP environments and system integrations.
  • Support Voice over IP, end points, and trunks.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues to peripheral/adjunct equipment.
  • Interface with other vendors, Carrier Service providers, and 3rd party manufacturers.
  • Perform moves, adds, and changes for customers when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Demonstrable experience managing basic level Operating Systems, Data Bases, HTML protocol, Network systems, and communications protocols.
  • Experience in VoIP and SIP technologies or Avaya technical support experience may be considered.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with co-workers and customers.
