About the Role

This position is part of the Siemens Energy organization, specifically within the Siemens Gas and Power GmbH & Co. KG business unit.

The EPC Construction Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of an EPC contract involving construction and building works in a multi-contractor environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Ensure that the project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Pre-Construction Planning: Completion of all pre-construction planning documentation, providing inputs and expertise.
  • Site Mobilization: Preparation and planning associated with Site Mobilization, including Site trailer set up.
  • Site Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction site, including managing subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely and coordinate Site based Siemens Energy team members, incl. but not limited to Document Manager, Project Engineer, Supervisors, Commissioning Personnel.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the project schedule in a safe manner, within budget, and quality requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and ensure that appropriate corrective actions are taken.
  • Documentation: Ensure that all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and properly filed.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor progress of the project and report on status to the project team and stakeholders.
  • Safety and Environmental Plans: Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement safety and environmental plans.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with legal, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Change Management: Manage project change requests and ensure that they are properly documented and approved.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
Requirements
  • Construction Techniques and Principles: Strong knowledge of construction techniques and principles, as well as safety and environmental regulations.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Project Management Software: Proficient in project/construction management software and tools.
  • OSHA 30 Safety Training: OSHA 30 safety training.
  • US Requirements for Electrical Networks: Knowledge of US requirements for connection of electrical networks.
  • Travel: Willingness and availability to travel for long durations.
