Collections Specialist

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and researching customer receivables account delinquency, determining the appropriate communication method to facilitate payment, and resolving disputes related to customer payment on delinquent accounts.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Analyze and research customer receivables account delinquency and determine the type of communication method to facilitate payment
- Resolve disputes related to customer payment on delinquent accounts and negotiate and ensure payment from the customer
- Recognize trends for non-payment and resolve the issues by engaging internal partners at all levels
- Initiate the dispute resolution process with internal HP partners and follow up to ensure resolution for HP and the customer
- Analyze at-risk customers and partners and recommend account strategies to prevent delinquencies
- May train new team members
**Requirements**:
- First-level university degree with a focus in business or economics; MBA preferred
- Typically 4-6 years of experience in credit internally or in banking; or in collections

- Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Developed accounting knowledge

- Advanced understanding of collection processes, financial principles, and channel partners

- Strong understanding of customer's internal payment processes
- Strong influence skills
