About the Role:

In this critical position at Google Inc., you will be responsible for leading the sourcing, procurement, and supplier management functions for data center power and cooling equipment. You will collaborate closely with Data Center Engineering and Construction teams to ensure the company has the necessary supplies and equipment to produce innovative products.

As a key member of the Technical Infrastructure team, you will define, measure, analyze, and improve Google's data center operational processes and develop options to enable the team to scale.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and execute commodity strategies through close collaboration with Google engineering and commodity teams.
  • Conduct detailed agreement discussions, including comprehensive agreements, and ensure capacity planning and supply-chain strategies are implemented to meet on-time delivery.
  • Drive Request For Proposal/Information/Quote and lead cross-functional teams with supplier selection processes, define cost drivers, develop cost models, and establish cost analysis.
  • Serve as internal point of contact for all ongoing remediation and quality improvement programs, define multi-year Research and Development efforts, and implement supply chain and supply base improvements.
  • Implement supply chain improvements, driving supply base improvement with supplier metrics and regular business reviews.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Experience in commodity management, agreement negotiation, supplier development, manufacturing, and supply chain processes.
  • Experience with industrial equipment, automotive, or modular projects.
