The Senior Account Manager plays a crucial role in nurturing our most valuable asset: our existing clientele. This position is centered on strategically retaining and expanding revenue and services through Element's comprehensive offerings. Additionally, the role demands a proactive approach to demonstrate market expertise and identify opportunities both locally and globally.
Collaborating with internal customer teams, the Senior Account Manager is tasked with continuously pinpointing cost-saving initiatives, growth prospects, and performance enhancements that align with client goals and practices. To excel in this position, a thorough understanding of business operations, product offerings, and the sales process is essential, along with exceptional interpersonal skills. A background in sales is a prerequisite.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop opportunities for increased revenue with current clients. Assess needs and create proposals that leverage Element's value-added services. Oversee the complete sales process for onboarding new assets and services, including risk assessment, client meetings, contract negotiations, and implementation.
- Manage overall client relationships as the primary point of contact. Coordinate with internal teams to address daily or emerging client needs. Engage with clients to foster and expand business relationships. Supervise contract renewals and legal modifications.
- Introduce new products and services to existing clients to enhance profitability. Present new offerings to clients upon rollout.
- Develop, plan, and execute a strategic account management plan, coordinating with consulting projects and business reviews.
- Identify and communicate industry best practices. Exhibit analytical skills, critical thinking, and strategic insight to cultivate customer loyalty.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience
- At least 8 years of relevant professional experience;
- MBA preferred;
- Demonstrated success in project management;
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken;
- Experience in vehicle management or a related financial/asset-based sector is advantageous;
- Willingness to travel up to 25% based on client portfolio and location;
- Adaptability to a fast-paced and evolving environment;
- Exceptional communication skills (oral and written), along with strong influencing and relationship-building capabilities;
- Proven negotiation skills with a successful track record;
- Strong customer-centric approach with high levels of client satisfaction.
- Knowledge and Competencies
- Comprehensive understanding of leasing, rates, terms, financing options, billing, vehicle expense reporting, and service cards, with the ability to engage and sell to all levels within a client's organization.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a high energy level and the ability to independently initiate and drive activities.
- Ability to manage volume and service opportunities effectively and close transactions.
- Work with urgency and accept responsibility for account retention and growth.
- Continuously strengthen client relationships, focusing on identifying key decision-makers and developing strategies to engage them.
