We are seeking a highly skilled Content Revenue Manager to join our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Content Revenue Accounting team. This team plays a critical role in supporting the licensing and distribution of intellectual property (IP) for HBO and Max, including functional IP and symbolic IP. The DTC Content Revenue team also supports Consumer Products, where the HBO and Max brand is licensed to other licensees for merchandise and e-commerce sales.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Review account reconciliations and ensure accurate aging of receivables and payables
  • Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to review accounts and revenue processes, fostering a continuous improvement environment
  • Review and post journal entries, including supporting documentation
  • Ensure proper internal controls are in place and all transactions are recorded timely and accurately in accordance with GAAP and established SOX requirements and company policies
  • Assist with Financial Systems Transformation projects, including the transition from Oracle and PeopleSoft to SAP S4 Hana
  • Assist internal and external audit in their audit procedures, as requested
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities for Content Licensing and Consumer Products
  • Direct supervision of one Senior Accountant
  • Provide monthly Actuals reporting to Finance, Line of Business, and Senior Management
  • Prepare and review quarterly Balance Sheet Flux analysis
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with members of the Accounting Controllership and key stakeholders
  • Research accounting issues and recommend treatment in compliance with ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers
  • Review quarterly SEC Reporting and tax packages

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience, with a strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX requirements, and relevant local GAAP
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory/leadership role in accounting/finance
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited university
  • Strong desire to meet deadlines and other relevant performance metrics
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, proactive, deadline-oriented
  • Mental agility to prioritize and execute independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Initiative, independent problem-solving abilities, ownership of work product, strong leadership qualities, and ability to effectively delegate
  • In-depth experience with process analysis and improvement
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Presentation skills, status reporting, issue flagging, public speaking, and exposition of prepared analysis and its implications
  • Advanced English skills

Desirable Qualifications

  • Master's degree in accounting
  • CPA license (or equivalent)
  • Experience with Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, Cadency, and/or Blackline
  • Content revenue accounting or the media/entertainment industry
