About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for acquiring and managing strategic key accounts, developing a sales pipeline mix of high-value and transactional accounts, and recruiting and launching small, medium, and established businesses to sell their products on Amazon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and build relationships with key influencers and decision-makers within the executive teams of prospective accounts.
  • Develop a clear understanding of the e-commerce industry and competitive environment, including knowledge of competitive product offerings.
  • Engage with merchants to understand their needs and gauge fit with the Amazon Services product set.
  • Create and articulate compelling value propositions around the Selling on Amazon product.
  • Manage numerous opportunities concurrently and strategically.
  • Analyze customer data and make recommendations to maximize the potential of the assigned category.
  • Successfully execute the recommended strategy together with your Selling Partners.
  • Prepare and deliver business reviews regarding progress and state of health for the respective categories.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets and operational metrics.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience prospecting, qualifying, and cold-calling companies.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • 2+ years of sales, marketing, consulting, engineering, or digital advertising and/or client-facing roles experience.
  • Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
