About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Basis Consultant to join our Enterprise Cloud Services team at SAP. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the 24x7 availability of SAP systems running in our private cloud offering.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond, troubleshoot and resolve alerts and incidents related to SAP systems
- Act as an escalation point for productive issues at the Last Line of Defense (LLD) level
- Follow change management processes during service request execution
- Seek opportunities to streamline standard operating procedures through automation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technologies Management
- Solid know-how on SAP Technologies, including SAP NetWeaver certification
- Experience in at least one non-NetWeaver technology, such as BOBJ, SAP Mobile, Convergent Charging, OpenText, HANA XSA, etc.
- Strong capabilities in technical documentation
- Capacity to continuously acquire new knowledge in an independent and proactive way
- Good analytical and solution-oriented thinking
- Very good communication and networking skills
- Strong customer service focus
- Very good English language skills
Work Experience
- 12+ years' experience as Technical SAP NetWeaver (ABAP and Java Basis administration) and/or non-NetWeaver engineer on L3 or higher-level operations/support teams
- Strong working knowledge in Linux and Windows operating system platforms
- Strong working knowledge in HANA, Sybase ASE and/or other Database management systems
- Strong working knowledge managing technical documentation
