About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Iberica Restaurants. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in managing and controlling all aspects of the kitchen operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen staff, including training and development
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes, ensuring high-quality standards are met
- Contribute to menu planning and development, working closely with the Head Chef and culinary team
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and stock control
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as food safety standards
- Support the Head Chef in managing kitchen budgets and financial planning
Requirements:
- Professional cooking experience, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external partners
- Ability to work under pressure, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and presentation
- Ability to understand and be understood in English, with a minimum of Level B1 proficiency
