Role Summary
We are seeking a Front Desk Reception Supervisor to join our team at JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless guest check-ins and resolving any issues that may arise.
About the Role
This is a full-time position that requires a high level of organization and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work well under pressure. You will be responsible for:
- Assisting with expediting problem payments and following up with guests regarding satisfaction with guest-related issues
- Processing all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing and activating room keys
- Processing various payment types, including room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit
- Setting up accurate accounts for each guest upon check-in, including sharing withs, separate room/tax/incidentals, and comp
- Anticipating sold-out situations and obtaining alternative accommodations when the property cannot accommodate guests with reservations
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 1 year of related work experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
