About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Entertainment Director to join our team at Ennismore, a creative hospitality company rooted in culture and community. As a key member of our opening team for SLS Playa Mujeres Cancun, All-Inclusive Collection, you will be responsible for leading all service activities in the Entertainment department of the resort, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Entertainment Programs: Create and execute a variety of community services and entertainment programs, including special events and contract services, to enhance the guest experience.
  • Establish Schedules and Methods: Develop and implement efficient schedules and methods for providing entertainment services, identifying resource needs and ensuring seamless execution.
  • Participate in Goal Development and Policy Implementation: Collaborate with the General Manager and other stakeholders to develop goals and objectives, as well as policies and procedures, to ensure alignment with SLS and All-Inclusive Operational Standards.
  • Prepare Community Event and Entertainment Publicity: Design and disseminate publicity materials for community events and entertainment programs, promoting the resort's offerings and enhancing guest engagement.
  • Identify Community Needs and Recommend Programs: Analyze community needs and recommend appropriate programs to meet those needs, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Prepare Periodic Reports and Maintain Records: Compile and submit regular reports on entertainment program performance, as well as maintain accurate records of events, attendance, and guest feedback.
  • Conduct and Supervise Special Events: Plan and execute special events, including contracting instructors and managing logistics, to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Maintain and Design Online Entertainment Registration Program: Develop and maintain an online platform for guests to register for entertainment programs, ensuring seamless execution and guest convenience.
  • Serve as Liaison on Community Committees: Represent the resort on various community-related committees and subcommittees, fostering partnerships and promoting the resort's offerings.
  • Prepare Purchase Requisitions and Order Supplies: Procure necessary supplies and materials for entertainment programs, ensuring timely delivery and efficient execution.
  • Participate in Entertainment Program Budget Preparation and Administration: Collaborate with the General Manager and other stakeholders to prepare and administer the entertainment program budget, ensuring alignment with SLS and All-Inclusive Operational Standards.
  • Respond to Guest Complaints and Requests: Address guest complaints and requests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Leadership Experience: 3+ years of experience in a similar leadership role, preferably in a luxury and/or lifestyle hospitality setting.
  • Proactive and Judgemental: Proven ability to use good judgement when dealing with challenging situations, demonstrating a proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • Professionalism and Integrity: Conduct yourself with professionalism and integrity, demonstrating humility and a commitment to transparency in your motives, methods, and expected results.

  • Communication and Autonomy: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Spanish, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
