As a key member of our hotel's management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all engineering and maintenance activities, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, security, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Engineering Team in the day-to-day management of engineering and maintenance operations, including energy conservation and equipment maintenance.
- Develop and implement systems and procedures to ensure the health and safety of guests and team members, as well as the proper conditions for plants, machinery, and property.
- Communicate with government agencies to ensure full compliance with statutory regulations and industry standards.
- Prepare and manage capital and repair budgets for engineering operations.
- Conduct daily checks around the hotel to identify and address any potential issues.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Develop and implement emergency programs, including fire safety and evacuation procedures.
- Manage energy conservation programs to minimize expenses and reduce the hotel's environmental footprint.
- Coordinate renovation projects, including bidding, cost management, and quality control.
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned by senior management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chief Engineer or in a similar leadership role in the hospitality industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of engineering and maintenance operations, including energy conservation and equipment maintenance.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of engineers and maintenance staff.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety, security, and compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential issues.
