About the Role
As a Director of Security in Mexico, you will lead all Safety & Security efforts across all brands and operations for Hyatt in Mexico. You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert within Mexico for safety & security concerns, events, and incidents. Your proactive and pre-emptive actions will identify vulnerabilities and provide advice and direction for appropriate mitigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement security policies, standards, and security management systems, identifying appropriate responsibilities, accountabilities, and development requirements across the assigned region.
- Respond to SSM events as necessary and provide assistance, support, and direction to property leadership and SSM management teams.
- Investigate security incidents involving actual or potential loss or exposure to the company.
- Act as liaison point for security and law enforcement agencies and coordinate with them any security incidents, threats, and investigations involving Hyatt operations within the assigned region.
- Collect, assess, and act on security intelligence from all recognized sources.
- Audit and/or review hotel Security Programs at individual hotels across all ownership models and brands within the assigned region.
- Support functional training initiatives to include security awareness and other topics for GM's, Security Directors/Managers & Officers and persons vested with security responsibilities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Hotel Security Directors/Managers in assigned region.
- Lead, direct, and/or conduct inquiries and investigations concerning criminal acts, workplace violence incidents, employee behavior, conduct, and malfeasance or other incidents impacting the safety & security of Hyatt's guests, colleagues, visitors, and Brand reputation.
- Support operational acceptance and compliance with all Fire, Life, Health, Safety, and Security standards and ways of working across all ownership and operating models.
